Ms. Morris concentrates her legal practice in the areas of Personal Injury and wrongful death, including those caused by motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, motorcycle accidents, dangerous premises, defective products, negligent security, dog bites, and falls. Her practice also includes Probate, Estate Planning, the preparation of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Living Wills, as well as General Litigation and Business Law.  Ms. Morris gives each client her personal attention as she guides them through the legal process and protects their rights. In the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, Ms. Morris has represented over 1000 injured persons and has extensive experience in cases such as:

 

  • Represented persons who lost a loved one due to another driver's negligence;
  • Represented persons with tragic injuries caused by commercial vehicles;
  • Represented children injured while riding bicycles and playing outside;
  • Represented persons with serious injuries caused by a dangerous condition at a business;
  • Represented persons with scars and injuries caused by defective products;
  • Represented persons injured while riding golf carts;
  • Represented persons who were burned, cut, shot, struck by falling objects, bitten, sexually assaulted, and injured on the job.

 

Ms. Morris is a member of the Lee County Bar Association, the Southwest Florida Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Justice Association, the Cape Coral Bar Association, and the Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky Bar Associations.

 

Personal Profile

 

Ms. Morris, a Georgia native, received her B.A. degree in 1985 from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. In 1988, she received her J.D. degree from the University of Georgia in Athens. After graduation, Ms. Morris served for four years as a criminal prosecutor in Georgia. Next, Ms. Morris moved to Kentucky, where she represented injured individuals as a partner at Colvin & Morris, PSC, and also served as Greensburg City Attorney and as a Green County Trial Commissioner. Ms. Morris moved to Dade City, Florida in 1999, where she focused her practice for over 16 years on injury and wrongful death claims, and also represented clients accused of crimes and infractions at Mander Law Group. Currently, Ms. Morris enjoys living in southwest Florida with her family, and stays active in the community and in her church.
